25 Days Of Christmas Countdown Day #19: Top J-Pop Idol 2016

So I thought of another song for yesterday's post. Perfume's Flash. I was thinking it was 2015, but nope! Released this year. Oh well. This year I feel like I really expanded my horizons with J-idol music. However, I wouldn't say I necessarily expanded my interest in other groups. I've listened to a lot of stuff and for me, most of it is very meh. There's a lot of 48G music clones and then there's also a lot of the "anti-idol" scene out there recently which doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. I don't like rock or alternative music like I used to. Some stuff I can tolerate, but other than that I just don't care for it. I kind of want some H!P music clones. I like H!P's J-popxEDM style where it's not EDM like K-Pop's or like Western music but it's a very specific style to them that kind of blends idol pop & EDM. It's cool, I like it.

David Hasselhoff - True Survivor

Don't judge me for this one lol. I watched it expecting to get a good laugh (which I did), but the song is so awesome. Really excited to see Kung Fury.

Perfume - Pick Me Up

Perfume's always been pretty hit or miss for me, but this is definitely a hit.

EXID - Ah Yeah

I guess K-pop hasn't been completely dire this year. EXID's really been blowing away my expectations.

Just came across this today. I remember loving her song Magic back in....2009-ish? I think. It was awhile ago lol. Pretty catchy song.

Adam Lambert - Ghost Town

So I have a friend that is absolutely OBSESSED with Adam Lambert and I figure I should at least give him a mention for her sake lol. Not 100% sold on the song yet. It's pretty different than what you'll find on his albums, but the beat of the chorus is pretty addicting.

Song Recommendations (February 26, 2015 Edition)

So I've been REALLY busy with work and classes lately and haven't been able to post many things so I thought I'd so another of these with songs I've been listening to lately to get me through this stressful period.

Tochiotome25 - Dokkan! Ichigo Sakusen

According to what I saw on H!O, the new Kenshuusei in H!P is a former member of this group. So naturally I checked out the posted videos to see what the group was like, and I really like this one. I really shouldn't because it's very typically idol and I tend to dislike that stuff, but this one is cool.

Babymetal - Iine!

Yeah this is older but I haven't featured it here yet so I'm going to. I really like Babymetal. I think they're pretty cool. Either this or Megitsune is my favorite Babymetal track, can't decided. I've heard that Moa & Yui are graduating from Sakura Gakuin this spring. I'm excited to see what Babymetal will be up to once they can focus fully on the group.

Q'uelle - Monster

I don't remember where I first came across this video. I know it was a forum, but I can't remember which one. (I lurk on like 6...forums kind of freak me out when it comes to posting xD). I like the pop-rock that these girls have going on. It's something different.

Yumemiru Adolescene - #Suterusu Bukai 25:00

I know it's a sharp instead of a pound sign/hashtag in front but I don't have a sharp key on my keyboard so yeah. I've been following Yumemiru off and on for about a year. They release music that is good, but nothing ever really stuck with me. This one did.

Bakusute Sotokanda Icchome - Seishun Chronicle

Otherwise known as Akihabara Backstage Pass. I know that Tsunku has produced some songs for them, but I don't know if this is one. It feels like it would be, but I can't tell. Good song though.
