Selena Gomez - Stars Dance

You have no idea how excited I was when Selena started releasing music. Falling Down was my jam back in the day. I had always really liked her on Disney Channel so I was happy she was now singing....even if she doesn't have the best voice. Of course her first two albums were very Disney Channel crowd oriented, nothing wrong with that. She was still really young then and why alienate your main crowd right away? I bring this up cause it drives me crazy when I see people criticizing Disney stars for releasing "little kid music". What else are they supposed to put out? You think parents would be okay with someone that their kid is watching on Disney Channel releasing a Nicki Minaj Anaconda like video for their very first single? (Although to be fair I wouldn't call Anaconda a mature song...but you get the point.) Of course not. Her third album showed a more mature side, and then onto this fourth album (has it really been FOUR already? Wow...) she really came out with something more mainstream.

Track #1, Birthday: I think this is the one song on the album I really truly hate. It's just so so bad. It has so much potential in the verses. SO MUCH. But that chorus just destroys everything. It kind of reminds me of a HyunA reject song. So thankful this was never released as a single...because if it ever hit it big I'd want to stab my ears with scissors. 2/5.

Track #2, Slow Down: Admittedly, I'm fairly sick of this song. For the longest time though, it was one of my favorite tracks on the album. Still disappointed it wasn't a big hit like Come & Get It was. Maybe back in 2009-2010 when Lady Gaga was really big it would've done better because it sounds like something that could have been on The Fame. Just wish that ending wasn't there. Can't stand it when there's little talking bits at the beginning and ends of songs. 5/5.

Track #3, Stars Dance: This is such a pretty song musically. Probably my favorite song on the CD. Would have rather had this as a lead single than Come & Get It. Hoping for more songs like this on her future album. 5/5.

Track #4, Like A Champion: This was one of the skippable tracks on the record at first. However, I really came to like it after I got sick of the songs I had originally attached to. It's the perfect track for those days where you just feel in charge of everything. 5/5.

Track #5, Come & Get It: I still think it was a good choice for the first single, but it's not one of the best songs on the CD. I like the Bollywood flavor of the track. I really don't know a great deal about Bollywood, but the sound music wise sounds cool to me. 4/5.

Track #6, Forget Forever: Now this song sounds like it would fit perfectly in her earlier albums. The beat's cool, but other than that it's a fairly forgettable song (didn't intend to use 'forget' in it xD) 3/5.

Track #7, Save The Day: Back to the club bangers! You can so easily tell what kind of music I prefer. Like Slow Down, this is another song I played to death. This probably would have been a better choice than Slow Down as a single. At least in my opinion. Same basic idea and lyrical content, but this just feels like the better song. 5/5.

Track #8, BEAT: I'm in the middle with this song. On one hand, it's very catchy and the beat is quite wonderful, but on the other, it sometimes gets dangerously close to falling into "Birthday" territory. The album's been out for almost two years now and I still can't make up my mind about it. 3/5.

Track #9, Write Your Name: Not a song I gave much attention to when I was really listening to the album, but it's pretty good. I'm guessing I'll probably forget all about it again though when it's over. Sometimes I wonder how many songs I know of that are good, but just so unremarkable that I can't remember them. 4/5.

Track #10, Undercover: And this was the third of the three tracks I really focused on when I first got the album along with Slow Down & Save The Day. This is the best of the three tracks. 5/5.

Track #11, Love Will Remember: Kind of in the same boat as Write Your Name except not as good. I could envision this song on When The Sun Comes Down. It's almost too poppy for the rest of the album. The rest of this album for the most part is very EDM so it's a bit of a jarring change from the rest of the album. 3/5.

Track #12, Nobody Does It Like You: I think this is where the deluxe edition starts? I'm not sure what all songs were Target exclusive in the USA and if there even was a true deluxe edition outside of the Target version. I truly hate the word swag. It's such an affront to the English language. Or any language. That's probably my only gripe about the song. Personally, I'd swap this song and Love Will Remember for the standard tracklist. It fits the standard album better. 4.5/5.

Track #13, Music Feels Better: I honestly don't remember listening to these last three tracks on the the CD. I know I did. My iTunes says I did. I just don't recall their existence. I say this because I really like this song. It doesn't fit the album really, and sounds more like a When The Sun Comes Down or even A Year Without Rain track, but it's just so catchy I love it. 5/5.

Track #14, Lover In Me: Now these last two songs are definitely the Target exclusives. Now what does this sound like.....I swear this sounds like something else. Love the pulsing beat in the verses. Ahhhh no. Why. Aw man. I'm disappointed. The verses sounded like they were building up to a crazy chorus but the chorus is just too poppy for the verses. I need some soaring vocals and EDM like Ariana's Break Free. Maybe I'll get that next album. She is working with Zedd. 3.5/5.

Track #15, I Like It That Way: Ugh. The beginning is cringeworthy lyrically. Oh come on! Seriously?! This is the chorus that Lover In Me should have gotten and Lover In Me's chorus should have gone to this! I realize that they were probably produced by two completely different people, but it's still a tragedy. 3.5/5.

The album is certainly her best album yet, and really is going to be hard to top for me. I'm hoping that her next album will completely blow this out of the water though. Man....I'd really love to give this a 4.5 or a 5....but then I remember Birthday exists. Hoping for no more songs like that for record number five. 4/5.

AKB48 - River

Just looking at the cover of this single, you can see how much things have changed since 2009. Out of the 16 in the Senbatsu, half of them have either graduated or announced their graduation, and I'm positive that the majority of the other 8 (besides maybe Jurina and Mayu) will be gone within the next two years. I might sound mean, but I can't wait until the older gen girls all graduate. I'm really excited to see what future Senbatsus are going to look like without members that have been there for years.

This song is probably the song that really snared me into the 48G fandom. Before listening to it in full, I did keep up with the 48s, just not like I do now. I mainly only checked title tracks and since the majority of 48G title tracks are boring, I didn't find anything really special with them. When I first attempted to listen to some of AKB's older songs and came across this, I hated it. I couldn't get past the spoken/shouted/drill sargent-y introduction. It just annoyed me SO MUCH. Then one day I was on YouTube bored and just clicked on the video for no reason. I obviously wasn't expecting anything, but listening through the whole song it just clicked. It was another Beginner/UZA type song! It's the song that caused me to go on a buying spree of AKB singles on ebay.....and when I got smarter (as in not wasting money on a billion singles when all of the songs on a single are on some albums....), I started buying the albums they had released. So I kind of credit River with really helping me to dig into their back catalog. There's still A LOT I haven't heard, but I'm working through it. The video is fantastic. I like the military theme of it. Fits the song perfectly. 5/5.

River MV

The first B-side is Kimi no Koto ga Suki Dakara. I do not know why, but every time I read that song title I sort of do a little sing-song in my head to it....even though the tune of it has nothing to do with the actual song. This is sung by the Under Girls for the single and is very typical idol pop. I don't dislike the song, it's just nothing special. Especially when compared to River. The video isn't anything special either....although it's REALLY weird seeing Rena & Rino in an Under Girls video instead of in Senbatsu. 3.5/5.

Kimi no Koto ga Suki Dakara MV

The final song on the single is Hikoukigumo, sung by the Theater Girls. The chorus is very catchy, but like with Kimi no Koto, there is nothing special about the song in their discography. The video is just a video of a theater performance of the song. 3.5/5.

Hikoukigumo MV

I do really wish that a single like River had more dynamic B-sides, but I guess if you're going to go different on the A-side (at least at this point in their career) you should have B-sides that are more like the music that you regularly put out. 4/5.

AKB48 - Sakura no Shiori

Hey all, sorry I haven't posted in for a few days...been too busy to even sit down and edit posts that I've already had written up.

We're going kind of far into the past with this release! Can you believe that 2010 was FIVE years ago already?! I still think that the 1990s were ten years ago lol. This year was right around the time when AKB was really starting to become noticed by the public.

The title track is one of the better "Sakura" singles since they began doing the whole single cycle thing. 10nen Zakura is my favorite, with this or Mae Shika Mukanee in second. The others are just so bland. This song is also incredibly unique in AKB's catalog because it's sung with all of the members at that time, like a choir. It certainly wasn't what I expected from them when I first played the song. It's truly a gorgeous song. The music video bores me, but it does fit the song. 5/5.

Sakura no Shiori MV

The next track on the single is Majisuka Rock N Roll. This is really a 180 from the title track. This was a song to promote? their Majisuka Gakuen drama. Extremely catchy song, even though it's not really "bad girl" like the drama seems to attempt to portray (from what I know of it and from the MV...never watched it so I don't know exactly what it's about). The music video is based around the drama I guess. I don't know if I'd want to watch it. I couldn't pick out any of the girls that are actually good at portraying the concept....most look very silly. Maybe the drama is better than the little clips in the video, but I don't know. 4/5.

Majisuka Rock N Roll MV

The third song from the single is Enkyori Poster, sung by Team PB. Team PB & the next song's group, Team YJ were created to promote some magazines. And I think that they had a contest between the two groups with these two songs? I think? This release was two years before I cared at all about AKB so I wasn't around when this was going on. Team PB consists of Aki Takajo, Aika Ota, Ami Maeda, Sae Miyazawa, Moeno Nito, Yuki Kashiwagi, and Miho Miyazaki. I'm actually really surprised how many members of this group are still in 48G....all but one. Not the biggest fan of the song as it's just a typical AKB song, but I do really like when they sing "Enkyori Poster". It's the catchiest part of the song and sometimes I find myself singing just that line in my head for no reason. Music video's pretty normal, Yuki looks so young in the dance shot. 3.5/5

Enyori Poster MV

The final song on the single is Team YJ's Choose Me. Team YJ is comprised of Haruka Nakagawa, Riho Sashihara, Asuka Kuramochi, Minami Minegishi, Ayaka Kikuchi, Rie Kitahara, and Tomomi Kasai. This song is better than Team PBs. I have no idea if there was actually a winner for this battle, but I hope this one won if there was. I like song that have just the right balance of idol pop and guitars, this one fits that category. The video is less interesting than Team PB's. Nothing special. 4/5.

Choose Me MV

One thing that I find enjoyable about AKB's older singles is that there was at least an attempt at doing something different for each song. With the exception of the Kibouteki Refrain single this year, most of AKB's B-sides sounded incredibly similar. It's too bad because they don't sell for the quality of the actual music so they could afford to experiment more with the music they put out. Who knows, perhaps that could lead to the general public becoming more interested in them again. 4/5.

Morning Musume - 14 Shou (The Message)

Yes, I still hate the number after Morning Musume. Yes, I will never use it. No, I don't care if that's the way it says on the album cover. Now that that's out of the way, this is Morning Musume's 14th album and their first studio album in two years. I was extremely excited for this release. The direction that Morning Musume is in (and the rest of Hello! Project really) is exactly my type of music and I was excited to get an album full of new songs to love. Unfortunately, the album is half singles, but that's ok. There's still six new songs to listen to.

Track #1, Tiki Bun: Review Here

Track #2, Password Is 0: Thinking back over the past two years, I can't help but feel that Morning Musume's singles have been slightly lackluster this year. They're still very awesome, but compared to the last two years I don't think the style of electropop has worked as well. Now Tsunku's been doing an amazing job with other groups (Berryz' Love Together, C-ute's I Miss You, S/mileage's Chikyuu Hagukumu, Juice=Juice's Senobi), but Morning Musume really has gotten a lot more typical I guess you could say. Like sticking with more of the same sound. That's really how I felt for the majority of MM's singles this year. Of course there was variety (Toki Sora especially) but even for an EDM freak like me you do need to switch up the sound a bit or I'll get bored. This is one of those songs that you're really hyped over but then get bored of after a few plays. It really does work well as a cellphone commercial song though. The video is pretty much exactly as you'd expect. The green numbers that flash at times are a nice touch though for the whole technology theme of the video. 4.5/5.

Track #3, Asu wo Tsukuru no wa Kimi: It's a ballad. Again, not the biggest fan of ballads, but this is at least listenable. Really the greatest thing about H!P is Tsunku. I absolutely love listening to the songs he creates and this is no exception. It's such a gorgeous song and the girls sound good too. 4/5.

Track #4, Kirari to Hikaru Hoshi: Sung by Riho Sayashi and Sakura Oda. The second time they've done a duet in Morning Musume. This is probably the second best song on the album. I really can't believe I used to hate Riho. She's improved so much over the past four years. Sakura sounds amazing as always. This type of song is more of what I'd like to see from MM. It doesn't sound like a rehash of What Is Love. 5/5.

Track #5, Koibito ni wa Zettai ni Shiraretakunai Shinjitsu: Sung by Sayumi Michishige, Mizuki Fukumura, and Haruna Iikubo. "What is this crazy rock and roll music" is a great way to describe this song haha. Gosh I can't believe after over 15 years Tsunku can still pull off the most unique things ever. I would've just begun rehashing my top hit over and over because I would have run out of ideas. To me, Tsunku is truly a musical genius. I really pray that he recovers because it would be devastating if he fully retired from H!P. Even though this isn't really the type of song I'd listen to all of the time, I think it would be a great single. It's still got the EDM flavor, yet it has that cutesy idol feel to it too which would totally appeal to all the people who miss the more idol side of Morning Musume. 4.5/5.

Track #6, What Is Love: I used to like this song, I really did. Now I just don't want to hear it anymore. It's not really just from overplay either. It's really just the fact that this, Kimi no Kawari and Tiki Bun sound similar to me that those three songs are just kind of annoying to listen to anymore. The music video certainly doesn't help either because it's just a cheap concert video. 4/5.

Track #7, Watashi wa Watashi Nanda: Now THIS is the direction that Tsunku has been nailing recently. This falls in line with all of the songs from other groups that I listed earlier. More of this please. Really this is the best song they've done since Renai Hunter in terms of sheer surprise. When I first heard the concert rip of Renai Hunter, I was floored. The group that I had somewhat followed because they sort of had good songs came out with THAT. This song has the same feeling, except it's the shock of not believing how much Tsunku has been able to refine the electro sound in the past two years and just how well the current Morning Musume works with this style. 5/5.

Track #8, Waraenai Hanashi: This is probably the most K-pop sounding song on the album. I think it would fit well on an early 4Minute album. I like the more "experimental" feel to the album. Much better than the singles they had this year. 4.5/5.

Track #9, Egao no Kimi wa Taiyou sa: Practically one year later and I still don't know what to think of this song. I like that it's different, but does it really work? I personally like it, but I just....don't know. It's one of those songs that you'll listen to but can't really comment on. The video for this is gorgeous though. It was this point where they finally learned how to use green screening to their advantage. The CGI is stellar in this video. 4/5.

Track #10, Kimi no Kawari wa Iyashinai: The song used for the Winter Olympics. The best song on the single too. It still feels a little like What Is Love though which has always bothered me. The video for this reminds be of Berryz's Otakebi Boy Wao or whatever too. The dance is neat though. Using moves like you'd see in different winter sports was very clever. 4/5.

Track #11, Otona ni Nareba Otona ni Nareru: The most typical sounding of the unit songs on the album. Although it at least has solo lines for the girls that rarely get to sing. There's some Platinum Era sound effects in there that I hear. 4/5.

Track #12, Toki wo Koe Sora wo Koe: I believe this is the song that Egao was trying to be but failed. Their best single of the year easily. It's really such a beautiful song. What's actually kind of funny is that my dad and I were driving to Ohio and I decided to play some music during the drive and when this first began to play he was like "Classical music?" I said no of course. And he said "Japanese classical music?" I thought that was pretty interesting because he listens to classical music and his first thought to the music was that. As much as I love Tsunku, he of course is not a better composer than any of the classical greats, but I think that's a pretty neat compliment to get. The video is just as beautiful as the song too. Except for that dance. The bouncing.....why the bouncing. 5/5.

All in all this album is really fantastic. It's got different styles yet sticks to a coherent theme. It's a great album for fans of EDMusume. 4.5/5.

Fairies - Fairies

It's a post not about H!P or the 48s! Haha. I really like Fairies. They're something different in the realm of J-pop idol groups in that they tend to be more dance centric and electro pop. Being a sucker for anything electropop, Fairies immediately caught my attention when I first saw them. They currently have six members: Momoka Ito, Miria Fujita, Sora Nomoto, Miki Shimomura, Rikako Inoue, and Mahiro Hayashida.

Track #1, Hikari no Hate ni: Before I really got into Fairies, I just knew a few of their tracks like Beat Generation and White Angel. So, when I heard they were going to be releasing a new single at that time, I was excited for the song. Then I heard Hikari no Hate ni. I was so incredibly disappointed with the song I actually stopped paying any kind of attention to Fairies until Run With U came out early last year. So that experience still kind of clouds my judgement of the song today. It's not a bad song at all, it just is such a direction change from either Beat Generation or White Angel that it really turned me off of the group. Now of course I didn't really know any of their other songs at that time so I didn't know that this really wasn't a massive shift from everything that they had done in the past. It sounds a lot like an anime song (I think it was used for one but I don't remember). I never really liked the video either because it wasn't the "cool" style that I'd been used to. Now I don't think the video is all that bad. It's kind of cute really. 3/5.

Track #2, White Angel: This is the song that made me pay attention to Fairies the first time. The song came out right around the time when I started to leave the K-pop fandom and because it has a very K-pop feel to it, it caught my attention immediately. Actually, it's probably better than the vast majority of K-pop songs I know to be honest. I swear I don't hate K-pop now....for some reason, for my musical tastes, Japanese music doesn't get annoying or worn out even when I listen to a song a lot. K-pop always wore out fairly quickly except for a few songs and groups. The music video for this is great. H!P should take note. It's nothing but a dance shot with shots of the girls just like H!P, however the set design is perfect. I think that's what H!P really lacks is good sets. Formulaic music videos can be great, but using the same type of set over and over doesn't help. 5/5.

Track #3, More Kiss: This is their first song and actually the first song I had heard from them. I remember watching the video when it first came out and thinking: "Hah. K-pop's getting so popular that J-pop is starting to use the formula!" Not even kidding that was my thought....2010-2011 was my "crazy K-pop fan" phase. I was never really as bad as some people get, but I used to watch like everything from groups I like, tried to learn EVERYTHING about them, and just kind of bought into the whole "K-pop is better than everything" thing in general. Pretty glad I grew out of that. But anyway, I hadn't really paid attention to the song then and it never actually registered in my head until yesterday that I had seen the video/heard of Fairies before Beat Generation. I think it's a pretty good debut for a group like this, even if it is pretty much a solo by Momoka. I just can't believe she was only like 14-15 here. She sounds very good, and I appreciate that she's in a group that allows her to showcase her vocal talents. The video isn't really all that special. I adore the outfits though. This is going to sound REALLY weird, but at some angles of the shot when they're in the black shirts, the set very vaguely looks like the Citadel Council chambers from Mass Effect 1. Not kidding, it really does. 3.5/5.

Track #4, Song For You: And here's where Hikari no Hate ni starts to make a little more sense in their discography. Before checking out Fairies fully earlier this year, I had assumed Hikari was a massive style shift, but really even from their first single they had a more "idol" side. This song is better than Hikari though. Even if their videos aren't super interesting, I always love watching them because they are such fabulous dancers. The dance for this song makes the entire video. 3/5.

Track #5, Beat Generation: This song absolutely blew me away when I came across it on YouTube. I had been randomly clicking through YT's recommended videos and this was one of them. I didn't really have any expectations, but the title interested me so I clicked on it. It's still one of my favorite Japanese songs to this day. The video for this is incredibly impressive to me. The dance with the high heels.....I know it's not really good for your feet to dance with them like that, but I really want to learn how to do that dance in heels. Unfortunately I'm ridiculously uncoordinated so I don't think it'll ever happen unless I feel like breaking a bone. 5/5.

Track #6, No More Distance: This is probably the slowest song on the album, however I don't really dislike it. It doesn't fall into the usual trappings that idol pop ballads/midtempos tend to fall into. It's actually quite a nice relaxing song. Music video is ok. Cute outfits but music videos for ballads without a story tend to be pointless. 4/5.

Track #7, Hero: So I've had this post up for the better part of the entire day and it's now midnight because I just couldn't force myself to sit down long enough to focus on finishing this. I actually bought the game Audiosurf just so I could play that & finish this at the same time. It's kind of fun actually. I should get paid for advertising it xD (Kidding of course...it's midnight, I'm sure this is going to be turning into terrible jokes I think are funny and rambling that has very little to do with the actual album.) I like how unique this song is for J-pop girl groups. Well, unique for idol girl groups at least. I don't get the setting for the video though. The outdoor one kind of makes sense, but the library doesn't seem to have anything to do with anything. Ah well, at least the outfits are adorable. Is it just me or are Fairies' stylists constantly on point with the outfits for them? I seriously would wear everything from their videos and I generally can't stand buying clothes. 4.5/5.

Track #8, Sparkle: Another stand out song for them. When I first heard it, I didn't like it. It was too auto-tuned for my taste, but it's slowly become one of my favorite Fairies' songs. It's got kind of a sing along feel to it. Super catchy. The dance for this one is really eye catching too. Miria looks a lot like Kanon Suzuki in this video. 5/5.

Track #9, Tweet Dream: Ok so I never really thought much of this song, in fact, I thought the whole autotuned "Tweet Tweet" or "Sweet Sweet" or whatever it is was super annoying. However, playing that in Audiosurf right now, it totally just clicked with me! I don't know what to rate this now. I'll have to listen to it again when I'm not so half asleep or hyped from the game. The video's pretty adorable. I love the set. Their sets seem to always be pretty darn good too. However YT's really getting on my nerves with the whole switching to the next video in line thing a couple seconds into a video. 4/5.

Track #10, Sweet Jewel: Not one of my favorites from the album, but still kind of cool. I seriously wonder how hard it is to dance in heels. Even a simpler dance like this seems like it would take a lot of practice to not fall and kill yourself. 3.5/5.

Track #11, Run With U: Ah, the song that brought Fairies back to my attention. It's such a great upbeat song. I'm glad I have it on CD now though. The one on YouTube that Avex uploaded has the volume like really low and it's annoying. I think these outfits in this video are my favorite fairies outfits. I just love the black and white ones so much. 5/5.

Track #12, Poker Face: Momoka's solo song. When I first heard the name of the song, I seriously believed it would be a cover of Lady Gaga's song and I'm so thankful that it's not. Momoka really does have a wonderful voice and these type of songs really suit her. I'm hoping she releases more solo songs in the future because this is probably my favorite song on the CD. Gosh the outfits are great in this video too. As a woman who really has never cared one bit about fashion or clothing in general, it really surprises me how awesome I find a lot of their clothes. Maybe it's because it's just so much nicer than seifukus or horribly tacky costumes that seem to plague the Japanese girl groups of today. 5/5.

I really do love this album. Almost every single song is repeatable which isn't something super common, especially in Asian CDs. Highly recommended for anyone who likes their pop music dance-pop tinged. 4.5/5.

AKB48 Team Surprise - Bara no Gishiki

This is the 12th and final single from the Bara no Gishiki stage (unless they decide to release a couple more for this stage like they did with Juuryoku Sympathy). It features all 16 of the Team Surprise members.

Even though the stage didn't begin well, it did kind of end on a high note. Bara no Gishiki is a much more interesting song than the majority of the other songs from the stage. The music video is just gorgeous. The set, the outfits, they work so well with the song. I do hope that there will be a couple more singles in the new year for this stage. It's been so lackluster that I hope there's some other songs in there that will boost the stage some more. 4.5/5.

Bara no Gishiki MV

AKB48 Team Surprise - Shitsuren Doumei

This is the 11th single from the Bara no Gishiki stage and features members Yuki Kashiwagi, Minami Minegishi, Yuko Oshima, Rie Kitahara, and Rena Matsui.

I was looking forward to this one, especially because Minami and Rena were featured members. This is one of the better Bara no Gishiki songs. That's really not saying much considering the mediocrity of the stage as a whole. Although I can't really pick something out that's actually special about it. Maybe I just think it's better because Minami's in it. The video is pretty much just the Mirai video with pieces of fabric that look like tissue paper tied to the set. The outfits aren't nice either. Much better than whatever the heck Tokimeki thought it was doing, but again, they look like they were fashioned from tissue paper. 3.5/5.

Dance Or Die's Top Songs Of December

Not sure I'll be able to come up with 10 songs for this month either but I'll try. Again, they have to be songs that were released for sale in that month. Also, I hope I'll be able to get my Top Songs List for the entire year up today or tomorrow.

#1: Kesenai Honoo - SKE48 (Dec. 10)

After a pretty lackluster year in terms of both singles and B-sides for SKE48, I was definitely surprised by Team S's song on their new single. This is the type of song I'd like to hear SKE do more, especially because they do so well with it.

#2: Real - Rev. From DVL (Dec. 3)

This one came as a surprise too. I'd heard of DVL before, and just never cared to pay much attention. Their songs were ok, but nothing really special. Definitely was surprised when this one came up on my YouTube feed.

#3: Utsukushiki Kodokutachi - Predia (Dec. 17)

I fear this list will be short again....and only J-pop. I've been keeping my eye on Predia ever since I ran into their debut major label single a couple months ago. Their vocals & music style are very nice.

#4: 12-gatsu no Kangaroo - SKE48 (Dec. 10)

Not their best single this year, but catchy.

#5: Fuyu ga Kureta Yokan - Bibi (Dec. 24)

I may or may not be addicted to the Love Live app. Playing these songs over and over certainly makes you like them.

#6: Yasashiku Suru Yori Kiss wo Shite - Miyuki Watanabe (Dec. 24)

I really can't stand Miyuki's voice, but I have to admit this song is pretty catchy. Love the throwback feel to it.

#7: Trouble Busters - Bibi (Dec. 24)

So ridiculously catchy. It also helps that my 3 favorite members in Muse are in Bibi....Nico, Maki, & Eli.

I'm three short again aren't I. K-pop really hasn't released much, and what it has isn't worth a mention. Western pop music pretty much is in Christmas mode by the time December starts so there's nothing outside of K/J-pop that I can think of either. Oh well. If you have a favorite song from December please feel free to share it in the comments! :D
